Practical website tips and personal stories for small business owners in Montana, Utah, and beyond.
When I began freelance web design in Utah, I heard again and again: pick a niche. Specialize. Charge more. Build prestige. But I found myself wanting something different and something more grounded. I chose to work with all kinds of small businesses in Utah because I believe that every business, no matter what they sell or where they’re located, deserves high-quality website design that doesn’t break the bank.
That's not too specific…but here’s why I’m not worried about it.
My heart for affordable web design is a heart for small beginnings.
People who have summoned the courage to take their next seps, to make their first big business investments, and to say yes to their dreams. These folks come from all directions and backgrounds. They are coffee shop owners, photographers, nutrition shop mamas, and college students.
Having the courage to invest in your business — especially when you’re just starting — is something I deeply respect.
That’s who I want to serve. These business owners help me grow too. They challenge me to become a better designer, to keep learning, and to stay grounded in my values.
When you work with me, you’re not getting a curated niched-down package.
You’re getting someone who adapts to what you need. I jump between platforms — Showit, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Shopify, Pixieset, you name it. I bring cross-industry wisdom and flexible solutions because I’ve worked with so many types of businesses.
In some ways, I do have a niche.
My niche is more than Utah small business owners. It’s people with big dreams and small beginnings. It’s people who care more about serving others than racking up followers. It’s the imperfect-action-takers. The one-step-at-a-time friends. The builders and believers.
Not everyone I serve is going to make my wallet thick. And that’s okay. Everyone should have access to functional, beautiful, and affordable web design. If you're building something you love, I'd be honored to help you bring it to life.
